Bangladesh Flood Response

Global One Bangladesh Country Office continues to support communities affected by the devastating floods of 2024. Our team has targeted 4000 families across Cumilla, Feni, and Brahmanbaria districts, Global One distributing food parcels, hygiene kits, and hot meals to those in need.

In Sholonol Union, Sadar Union, Bakshimul Union, and Pirzatrapur Union of Burichang Upazila, Comilla, we provided essential relief items to families in Kharataiya, Gazipur, Shikarpur, Zodupur, Poyaat, and Burburiya villages. Similarly, in Mogra Union, Akhaura South Union under Akhaura Upazila in Brahmanbaria, along with Joyloshkor Union, Matbhuiya Union, Purbo Chondropur Union, and Yakubpur Union under Dhagonbhuiya Upzila in Feni we extended our support to families severely impacted by the floods. Our relief efforts aim to address immediate needs, such as nutritious food, food security, and hygiene.

Despite numerous challenges, including difficult terrain, logistical constraints, and limited resources, we remain committed to ensuring that the affected families receive the necessary assistance. Moving forward, we plan to enhance our disaster preparedness, strengthen community engagement, and work closely with governments, stakeholders, and local partners to build resilience against future crises.
