Global One, Bangladesh Country Office distributed Goat, Goat Feed and Vegetable Seed under ‘Empowering Climate-Resilient Women in Bangladesh’s Riverine Islands (Chars) to Eradicates Poverty through Agro Farming’ project.
The Empowering Climate-Resilient Women in Bangladesh’s Riverine Islands (Chars) to Eradicate Poverty through Agro-farming project aims to create sustainable and lasting positive impacts for disadvantaged women in these vulnerable areas. By providing 40 women with she-goats, we establish a permanent income source, enhancing their economic stability. Additionally, training in managing homestead gardens and livestock empowers them to generate independent income and improve their livelihoods. The project also fosters community involvement by promoting resource-sharing and ensuring continued collaboration beyond the project’s duration. This initiative addresses both immediate and long-term needs, advancing critical Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building resilience against climate change, ultimately leading to enduring positive changes in the climate-vulnerable chars of Bangladesh.
